Hello, September!! I got lax with my blogging the past few days, but I'm back on it!
I'm both sad and excited that it's a new month -- sad because somehow, summer has pretty much flown by and fall is staring at us in the face (although it's still been hitting 90 here in Boston! That sounds terribly hot but I don't mind -- anything as long as it doesn't get cold soon). Excited though because I think this next season will be full of new things and a renewed sense of purpose!
If you read my last post, you know I was feeling pretty exhausted by the end of August, so for September (despite brainstorming a whole slew of fun themes... some of which I'll be revealing in the coming months, since I still have five more to go after this one) I decided to take it a bit easier and do one letter a day. Back to the basics! It's also good practice for me to focus on individual letterforms, too. I considered doing literally ONE letter a day (like Jessica Hische's Daily Drop Cap project or Mary Kate McDevitt's similar project) but decided against it because (1) that would drive my perfectionist tendencies up the wall, and (2) I'm really indecisive and am still at a stage where I'm exploring different styles. So, doodling the same letter in various different ways per day it is!
Here are my ABC's :)
