For this one, I referenced a couple different articles. The recipes differed, so I went with this one -- hopefully no diehard Manhattan drinkers get offended if the proportions aren't to their liking.
Since it's getting late and I'm attempting to be more strict about my sleeping schedule, I only finished the inking stage and will paint it up tomorrow! Though there is something nice and classy about black and white, too.
I'm experimenting with the cocktail name lettering and leaving some of those thick strokes blank to be potentially watercolored. We'll see how that turns out!
PS. In doing my obligatory research for today's cocktail, I found this variation which indeed sounds like my ideal Manhattan (it has St Germain and grapefruit bitters, in addition to the bourbon, Angostura, and vermouth). I was tempted to use that recipe but resisted for the sake of the purists/traditionalists out there. You're welcome!
