I used to not like green chartreuse very much, but this drink made me a fan! I discovered it at Green Street, but Green Ghosts have been around since the late 1930s. Not much else is known about its origin... but it is delicious, which is what matters.
While doing my research for this I learned a bit more about chartreuse, although apparently the ingredients for that are also a bit of a mystery -- 130 herbs and plants go into this liqueur! But only two monks in France know the formula?? Very fascinating. If your curiosity is piqued, check out the Wikipedia article as well as this "DIY Chartreuse" post.
Since chartreuse is composed of so many herbs, I took a stab at illustrating a few: fennel, thyme, and spearmint. Also, I originally did not letter the name "Green Ghost" with such thick lines... it was a last minute addition that I somewhat regret. Alas!
