I'm not sure how I'll feel at the end of this month after having lettered 30+ flower-inspired quotes, but so far I'm rather enjoying discovering them (or re-discovering, in some cases)! This quote is from a poem called "Surrender" by Rumi that I find beautiful. Here's an excerpt that includes the part I lettered (translation by Coleman Barks):
Very little grows on jagged rock.
Be ground. Be crumbled,
so wildflowers will come up
where you are.
You have been stony for too many years.
Try something different.
