last day in Tahoe (where my in-laws live and where we often spend the time around Christmas/New Year’s) 🌄 time here always flies by - I’m thankful for the fresh air, breathtaking mountains, and moments of stillness we were able to have this past week. next up: a few days in SF before we head to the other side of the world!

loose florals for the shortest day of the year 🌿✨ time has been weird lately (and will be forever and always). feels like we were just recovering from our Taiwan trip/jetlag; in three days we’ll be on a plane to California, in 2.5 weeks we’ll be in Singapore, and in 3.5 weeks we’ll be in India. ✈️✈️✈️ figuring out how to be present yet reflect on 2018 yet look ahead to 2019.... anyone got any tips? 🙃 I’ll let you know if I figure it out :) #happywintersolstice #joanneshihillustration

not sure if it’s SAD kicking in, or my regular depression saying hello, or the result of sleeping super poorly (did the ridic storm last night keep anyone else awake / trigger anxiety that the roof was most def gonna cave in), or just overthinking everything per usual / all of the above.⁣

anyway I made this at some point today just for fun and it helped a little bit 🙂 the text is from a photo I snapped in some boutique shop in Taiwan (swipe for said photo) - the words resonated with me but I thought it needed some color 🎨 I’ll post a screensized version in my stories in case you want to be phone lock screen twinsies with me :) ⁣
